Bright Morning!!

Oatmeal with Cinnamon, Vanilla, Brown Sugar, Walnuts, PB, and Banana

NOTE to SELF:
You can't taste the 1 tsp of brown sugar in your oatmeal so do not waste calories on it! Use something more prominent, like a drizzle of maple on top - or nothing sweet!

No time to type, but I had a great morning!! Husband and I decided to run the track at the Y in the dark for a bit, so I did 2.5 miles there. Then some indoor ellipticaling, then some upper body lifting. My triceps are really starting to show!! Anddddddd.......475 calories burned!!

Of course I had PB oatmeal for breakfast again. I'm on a big kick!! I gave myself a little more PB and banana for the hard workout too. Husband and I ate in the dining room as planned. I'm REALLY loving these morning breakfasts together. I hope we can keep them up. <3

I decided that I think coffee caffeine is making me have more stress and tension than usual. I didn't use to have all the tension in my shoulders and I've noticed that on my drive to work I get this heavy, weighted feeling. I love the taste of coffee and love the warm beverage, but I might insist we switch to decaf (I mean, why NOT just drink decaf??). I skipped the coffee this morning and had tea instead and feel so much better today! Could be coincidence, but I'm going to keep it up and see what happens. I'm sure my body doesn't need stimulants interfering with its happiness.

Pre-workout toast:

Total breakfast calories: ~600.

Have more to blog later!

You're so lucky that you CAN quit caffeine. I'm sure it does have horrible effects on stress/tension...I've more or less have a constant stream of caffeine coming into my body since I started school this year...and it makes me feel foggy-headed and tense...but, um, not asleep, which is key ;). Definitely quit it while you still can!

Oh, and thanks for the Vitatops heads up! That shipping is killer. I used to read Hungry Girl, but don't have the time lately so I would've missed it!
