I always have bananas in the mornings, so I never want to have them for a snack too. This morning I had pear, so I packed a banana! Also had a few Kashi crackers....
Another view of the Charlotte skyline!
Having vegetable mac-n-cheese for dinner!! And getting in a walk to the grocery store to pick up some ingredients first!!

mmm... vegetable mac and cheese sounds delicious!!
Kath,
Just wanted to let you know that you inspired me to try peanut butter with oatmeal. I was a bit skeptical but turns out it was a good risk. I loved it! I don't know if I can go back to eating oatmeal without it...
Have a great weekend.
Katy
So glad you liked it!! Did you do the "eat off the spoon" trick? I LOVE PB :)

Ooh...I'm excited to see your veggie mac-n-cheese! -Meg-
Yup, I did the eat off the spoon. Yum!
I love your "eat off the spoon" peanut butter tip! I like to do that with my individual pudding cups and also my yogurt. SOOOO heavenly and delicious! Why mix it in when you can enjoy a good amount with each bite?!! :-) Keep up the excellent blog posts!
ok, so here's a strange question/ a strange meal choice of mine...buut, nonetheless, I figured I'd ask what you thought..knowing that it's a bit odd to begin with :)
ANyways, when I'm in a pinch for time and fresh groceries, I sometimes resort to a dinner of the large container of fage 0% yogurt...hah yep, the whole damn thing! It's 17.6 oz of fat free greek yogurt, and I love it--which leads me to just simply create a whole meal out of it...in a pretty large quantity. I add a sprinkle of some puffed wheat and wheat bran, and then usually have some fruit to go along with. I know this isn't an ideal meal in terms of getting balance and all of the food groups in, but otherwise, is there any reason that this is "bad"? thanks!
you rock, love reading daily (if not more!)
on my question about this greek yogurt...obsession? :)--i've done my research, jst wanted to hear your thoughts
buuut..i've figured that since it's 80 calories for a 5.3oz container (the small) fage 0% plain yogurt, then by calculating it's about 265 calories for the 17.6 oz container that...yes...I have eaten in its entirety as a dinner meal. just want to make sure that this isn't bad if it's on occassions that i have this tub and some fruit as dinner...in a pinch :)
thanks!
Hi Anon,
I LOVE Fage as well, and could probably eat a whole tub of it, although I can't say I have because it's expensive! I think for a once-in a-while thing, it's probably fine. The 17.5 oz tubs aren't that big. And since it's fat free, you are not consuming a lot of saturated fat or anything that I would consider to be a red flag. Think about it as if a person drank 2.5 glasses of skim milk - that's a little more than average, but not totally out of the ordinary.
So if your stomach can handle it, I'd say it's OK every now and then but I wouldn't have it every night or even every other night since it is a large quantity of one food group.
Hope that helps!
